What We’re Doing
Sunday Morning Worship Assembly: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome – especially people who have little or no background with the Bible, who are coming to a church for the first time. We serve free coffee & refreshments downstairs after our assembly, so that we have time to get to know each other better.
We serve weekly Communion for everyone who’s been baptized. See the “FAQs About Us” for more information, and leave a note on this page with any other questions or comments you’d like to share.

Baptism is available for everyone who has decided to accept God’s invitation to follow Jesus. We baptize whenever people are ready – so this happens at various times. If you’ve never seen a baptism before, you’re welcome to come share in the joy and learn. For more information, see the “Q&A: Baptism, Our New Birth.” Be sure to leave a note on this page with any questions or comments.
Sunday Children’s Bible Classes: 10:45 a.m. during our assembly teaching time, for all ages.

Mid-Week Home Groups

Several groups meet during the week, in homes of members and at the church building. At various times we host groups for women’s ministry, newly married couples, parents, pre-Christians who want to learn more about following Jesus, people who want simply to pray together and sing together, etc. The schedule is always changing. For more information, leave a note on this page, call our office at (604) 522-7721 or e-mail us at our [dot] office [at] sbchurch [dot] ca
Growing Spiritual Roots: Finding the Heart of God and Walking in His Ways “Roots” is a 9-session course we share beginning every February and every October which helps new Christians and interested pre-Christians to learn more about the basics of following Jesus: the central message of the Bible, how to pray, how to read the Bible for yourself, and many other aspects of what life in Christ is all about. If you have little or no background with the Bible, this is the place to come with your questions! We’ll do our best to learn answers together.
On the Front Lines: Sharing in Jesus’ Ministry to All Kinds of People “Front Lines” is a 6-session course we share occasionally for people who already have their “roots” in the right places, who want to grow and mature in their faith. In “Front Lines” we especially focus on “learning how to serve other people” something like the way Jesus did it.
The purpose of both of these courses is to give us what we need to know, and good things to do, to make our lives available to God – so that He can do what He would like to do with us.

Global Village, Global Church We are a very “normal” church filled with ordinary people just like you. Because our people are from all over the world, we are blessed with links to people and opportunities all over the world to serve God in tangible ways. Over the past decade our members have traveled to over 20 countries in order to serve people and help them know God better, in many different kinds of service. We’ve also been blessed to serve our local immigrant communities with special projects and activities, too. All this is part of how God pours out His kindness to us, and to everyone. He brings these opportunities, projects, and activities at various times, in various ways. To find out more, leave a message on this page and we’ll reply.
